peculiar-escapad3s asked: your blog is extremely inspirational and captivating! I would LOOVVEE to become a writer and reading your blog has made me more determined! Thanks coco! :)
I got this pretty bundle of love from Jessi when she came into the office today ♥ And while I might joke about how I’m going to spend the night eating takeout alone and watching violent movies, the truth is, I’m okay about this being my first valentine’s day without a partner in four years. Following this rule throughout this past year - don’t get bitter, get better -...

Stop and stare
My best friend from Melbourne touched down in Hong Kong yesterday morning and leading up to this (having to map out where I’m going to take her & what I’m going to show her) made me realize that I take my city for granted sometimes. So I spent all of Sunday being a tourist in my own city, doing things like walking my friend through some of the oldest parts of Hong Kong early in the...
bobbyhundreds asked: Hi.
This is something we whipped up at Stash last year that we recently re-posted onto Stash’s tumblr. Watching it again made me realize how much I miss spending days doing photo and video shoots or turning Melbourne’s rooftop bars into our office on sunny days.
Stash was started by myself & Hwi, who many refer to as my male equivalent and vice versa. What started off as a fairly...

2011 musings.
When the clock strikes midnight on new years eve, what really changes? I mean, a year is just another way to measure time. A way to neatly package our triumphs and failures into 365-day blocks.
Looking back at the 365-day block that is 2011, I would say that it has been the most eventful and life changing year…so far. I started my own company with one of my best friends, then moved from...

Without the artists, photographers, poets, writers, musicians, designers, chefs and film makers, this world wouldn’t be much more than bankers and business. I know most of us don’t make much money doing what we do, but keep at it. Keep creating. Keep inspiring :)

Anonymous asked: New job in HK? From what I know, those with a proper full time job in HK are way too busy to even have a proper meal, let alone partying on weekdays and updating their blog during work hours. =)

I found a photo of the street I live on from back in 1890.
And this is what Eastern St looks like today. A far cry from what it was…
Got this in the mail last week… Linda made me a fat album full of Melbourne memories ♥ I’m so touched! I feel so blessed to have friends who would go through the time and trouble to do this for me. Every time I look at this, I’ll feel a little closer to Melbourne :) I love you Linda! And I miss everybody just that much more now… see you all at Christmas! x
Keys Open Doors
I’m picking up the keys to my new apartment tonight. Kind of a big step - I’ve never lived on my own besides boarding school but that hardly counts. So here I am, new city (kind of), new job, new pad. If 6 months ago someone showed me a snapshot of where I am now, I wouldn’t have believed them.
It’s an open studio in a classic old walk up building in Sheung Wan - a very...

A & I found only remnants of Slotherton last night.
Resistance is futile. Destroy one Slotherton and he only multiplies. In the wise words of NWA, fuck the police :)
There’s such a feeling of detachment in Hong Kong. Nothing sticks around for long whether it’s restaurants, shops, buildings, even - or especially - people. I’ve seen shop fronts with signs that boast “Open since 2003” and while that’s not a mark of an institution in most countries, making it to one year in Hong Kong is kind of a big deal.
I know way more...

I’d never really thought much of Taipei. But being just a quick hour and a half flight from HKG and having everyone in Hong Kong in my ear saying it’s THE place to eat/party/shop, a weekend there had to be done. So jetted off with my brother, his wife - the trip was a her birthday surprise for her ♥ - and some friends for a weekend of too much eating and a lot of poolside mojitos. ...
New doesn’t always mean it’s better, old doesn’t always mean it’s out of style.
Personally I’m a big fan of classics. It doesn’t matter how old or new something is, all that matters to me is that I dig it. I hate when I play a track for somebody like “listen to this!” and they roll their eyes like “ugh, that’s old”...
